The refund was credited to my account within a few days. The Amazon people were great and there was no problem sending it back - they even arranged for UPS to pick it up. I like doing business with Amazon. The home theater arrived with a large hole in the shipping box and a corresponding dent in the receiver/dvd player. It all went back in the box and back to Amazon.
It is the best sounding and looking unit for the price out there, hands down. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a great 5.1 surround sound system.
Minor things on a fantastic system. The wireless card adds another 2 inches or so as it sticks out the back of the unit. I will have to cut out the cheap carboard back of it to have it sit in.
With this system I have to have have 2 DVD players turned on to watch Blu-ray ones. Annoying but not a deal breaker. Very nice system - 3 screws hold the speakers to their base and 1 screw hold the top speaker in place - Rear wireless speaker system worked like a charm on first hookup - have not had them go out like others have had.Would have preferrered RCA cables for the speakers instead of bare wiress which makes swapping another DVD player impossible unless you want to splice.
Also the 5-disk DVD player that came with this unit is 16 inches long and does not fit in my TV stand which has glass doors on the front. I would still buy it again. This one has an optical input which comes directly from my TV.
So to watch a Blu-Ray I have to have both DVD players turned on.
One unexpected problem that I faced was - the depth of the receiver. (I couldn't fit it in my entertainment center) - I had to pull out the volume knob (which is really unnecessary - since I always use the remote control) - also after some trimming on my ent.center handle - I was able to barely fit it. This thing worked as expected. Because it is surprisingly long - 5 disc changer huh. Now it is working out for me very well. Sound quality is great. Connecting it was a breeze.
Controller also works with my Samsung tv. Also works great with the included iPod dock. Definately worth the money. This sound system works wonderful with cable tv, xbox 360, and playstation 3. I have it connected through a toslink switch and everything works wonderfully.
